The Second Outbreak

There is normalcy in isolation now.

But our protagonist, Moumita Bose (a 31-year-old data analyst) starts noticing a strange pattern.

The number of cases reported globally has gone down.

And each time, she tries to Google the new patients reported on the news, she can’t find any traces or online histories of them. But the lockdown continues and gets stricter by the day.

Or is she getting paranoid? Soon, she starts realising that people around her are acting too.

Her neighbours, her friends and family whom she connects online with, all of them.

Everyone’s acting... robotic.

Is this some sort of cover-up?

Is her house bugged? Is she living in some sort of experiment?

Or is she experiencing the Truman Syndrome because of the months she’s spent in isolation?

She needs to find answers, but all while being in lockdown.

Alternatively:

The girl has some weird gifts. She can sense and talk to dead people, sometimes. She’s not exactly a medium. But she has those abilities. This will pivot the show to a more horror space.

In this version, all the going-arounds are slightly supernatural — in a budget-friendly way.

And she starts seeing people who have allegedly died of the CoronaVirus.
